Spire Solicitors

The requirement

Spire Solicitors was formed through the merger of three leading Norfolk law firms: GHP, HVA and Overburys.

All three companies had their own IT infrastructure in place, but needed to work as one on a single platform going forward.

The solution

Having consolidated technical and licensing information from the three companies' eight sites, we devised a way to bring all 140 staff together under one umbrella.

We used Hyper V virtualisation technology on a physical infrastructure to create an onsite failover cluster. This means that even if a server physically failed, all Spire staff could continue working.

Now, approved Spire staff can access servers securely wherever they are, Branch staff can work at an office in the Spire network, ensuring continuity even if a branch is inaccessible.

Our robust dual-location system backs everything up automatically, ensuring essential data is always available, even if disaster strikes.

During the transition to the new system, our engineers stayed on site to offer support and reassurance to users.

Now, we're planning the next stage in the evolution of Spire's staff services, to ensure maximum uptime and service delivery for years to come.
