Great to see Jordan Hixson, our Junior Project Assistant getting the opportunity to help one of our Installation Engineers on a recent job at PMC Harvesters. He was shown the ropes by Paul Webster and got the chance to assist him with the replacement cable Gland installation of rack mounted fibre optic cable trays.
Jordan can be seen carefully handling fibre cores, the size of human hairs, in the process of feeding them and splices out of the old gland then back through a new replacement to secure the fibre cable correctly. This task needed steady hands and excellent vision; great work from Jordan and Paul ensured the job was completed successfully keeping the Fibre Optic Network links secure.
You may not like the glasses Jordan but as you know Health and Safety always comes first.
